Construction of computer area and photo studio in progress

This is a workbench I built a few years ago. It has a piece of bowling

alley for the top, an Emmert style vise, and dovetailed drawers.

This is a rolling shop cart that I built to use at the lathe. The drawer

holds all my chucks and miscellaneous tools for the lathe.

This is one of my sources of heat; helps in eliminating shavings and scraps. It

has an air chamber around the heat box that blows hot air. I plumbed this into the computer

area; it's controlled by a damper depending on where I need the heat. Works great.

This is my other heat source; an Empire Direct Vent Wall Furnace, Model #DV-352SG.

It's the safest heating source I've found because there is no exposed flame.

I built this box for taking photos of my work. I took the idea from an article

by Steve Meltzer in American Woodturner, Volume 11, No. 2 (June, 1996).
